Privacy Policy
Bulls and Bears ("we", "us") is an education-only trading platform. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, name and, if you sign in with Google, your profile picture. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.
- Learning activity: lessons completed, quiz scores, chart-exercise results and your course progress.
- Workspace settings: watchlists, chart studies, drawings, AI chat history and AI chart marks you save.
- Paper trading data: your virtual cash, positions and paper orders. No real money or brokerage account is involved.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your membership status, renewal date and Stripe customer/subscription IDs. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical data: basic server logs (such as IP address and request times) used for security, rate limiting and troubleshooting.
AI provider keys (bring your own key)
If you connect an AI provider (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI or Google Gemini), your API key is encrypted at rest, shown only as its last four characters, and is never returned in full or written to logs. Your chat messages and the chart data you send are forwarded to the provider you chose and are subject to that provider's own privacy terms.
Market data
Price data comes from third parties (Finnhub and Yahoo Finance). We do not share your personal data with these providers.
How we use your data
To run your account, save your progress and workspace, process membership payments, keep the service secure, and improve the course. We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only, to keep you signed in (access, refresh and session cookies).
Retention and your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Deleting your account removes your progress, workspace and paper trading data. Stripe may keep payment records as required by law.
